Dr Nick Smith

Nick joined the group in 2015 as a Part II and is now a postdoc researcher working on applying laser spectroscopy to breath analysis. His research focuses on the development of a molecular flow sensor optimised for paediatric patients. It is hoped that this device will enable the non-invasive measurement of clinically significant physiological parameters in paediatric patients with CF. Outside the lab, Nick can usually be found hiking around Oxfordshire, making pizzas, or keeping an eye on Portsmouth FC, the New England Patriots, and the England Cricket Team.
